An internal communication video is not priced like a marketing video. It is shorter, often more sober, but it must reach everyone: several sites, several languages, lobby screens, the intranet, sometimes employees who never sit at a computer. That is where most of the price is made.
Here is what to plan for, and what ours costs.
What drives the price of an internal video
- Length. One to two minutes is enough for an announcement; a series of short videos for a richer topic.
- Languages. One voice-over and one set of text per language, for every country the company operates in.
- Versions. The intranet in 16:9, lobby screens looping without sound, messaging tools in square or vertical.
- Subtitles. Essential for shared screens, open-plan offices and shop floors.
- Approvals. Leadership, HR, internal communications, sometimes legal and employee representatives: each must be planned in the schedule.
- Updates. An onboarding or procedure video must be able to change a figure or a name without being remade.
What it costs, compared with the alternative
To judge the price of an internal video, compare it with what it replaces. A 45-minute information meeting for 600 employees is 450 hours of work, not counting the sites that follow it remotely or not at all. A two-minute video, watched by everyone when it suits them, says the same thing to everyone, and stays available for those who were away and for new joiners.
Our article on measuring an internal video details this calculation and the indicators to track.
Our price: a fixed-price internal video
Our internal video costs €1,750 excl. VAT and is delivered in 21 days. The price is written down before we start and does not move.
It includes a short script approved by leadership and HR, storyboard and animation in your brand guidelines, voice-over, music, subtitles, two rounds of revisions, and exports for the intranet, lobby screens and internal networks.
Add-ons are priced up front:
For a series of videos, onboarding, procedures or an internal campaign, we send a tailored quote within 24 hours, on the same principle: a fixed price, written before we start.
Questions to ask before signing
- How many languages, and who approves each version?
- On which screens will the video play, and with or without sound?
- Who must approve, and in what order: leadership, HR, legal, employee representatives?
- Who owns the rights, and are source files delivered for updates?
- Is the delivery time compatible with the announcement date?
In short
The price of an internal video depends less on its length than on its release: languages, screens, approvals. By planning them from the start, we can show a fixed price and keep to it.
